Melle Transport B.V. respects your privacy and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This statement explains which data we process, what we use it for and what rights you have.

The data we process

When you complete the quotation or contact form, or call or email us, we process the details you provide yourself: company name, contact person, email address, telephone number and the details of your transport (such as the collection and delivery address, container type, quantity, weight and preferred date).

What we use this data for

  • To answer your quotation request or question and to work out a price and a schedule;
  • To carry out the transport and arrange the accompanying paperwork (including customs formalities);
  • To keep in touch with you about the job.

Retention period

We keep your data no longer than is necessary for the purposes set out above, or than we are required to by law (for instance under the statutory retention period for tax records).

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data. We share data only where this is necessary to carry out the transport (with a customs agent or a regular haulage partner, for example) or where we are required to do so by law.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to the processing. To exercise these rights, please contact us at info@melletransport.nl. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
